Will it really make a difference if the patient’s family and friends are there to support him? Or is it ok to just go through it all alone in rehab?
How important are friends and family’s roles in a person going through an addiction treatment program?

Friends and family are very important for someone undergoing addiction treatment. The support, understanding, and love of those dear to the patient will be able to help him get through the whole ordeal. The involvement of family and friends in the program will be able to extend and strengthen the benefits of the program. Family and friends could also act as a support network for the patient once he goes out of the program, and they can help him in staying away from temptation so he won’t fall into relapse.

The support of those around you can be invaluable in recovery…as long as those people are positive influences and not “toxic” to your situation.
There is going to be some time very early on in the program where you’ll need to be alone to gather your thoughts, though.

Family and friends roles are very important during the rehabilitation process. It gives moral boost to the patient and he will feel very comfortble.

it is very important that friends and family are there to support and understand you during that period although it sometimes feels like no one cares believe me they do no one not even a stranger wants to see a person suffer through any kind of addiction
