I am not speaking about myself lol. I just only hear about men having this issue.

I’m sure it’s possible, but I doubt it’s common. Best analogy I can come up with is that of serial killers. A vast majority are males, but there is the occasional female, like the one profiled in the film, “Monster.”
I just think that sex is (a) different, and (b) more accessible to females than it is for males. Pornography just “doesn’t do it” for the fairer sex the way that it does for the more perverted gender.

AlienBoy describes the way our neurological system works very well. He did leave out that men are visual creatures and woman are intellectual. There are the few exceptions on each side. That is the different hard wiring he is referring to. Some woman have this visual stimuli where just looking at a man or porno can get them aroused. The majority of woman need to be mentally and emotionally swayed over a period of time in order to experience the arousal a man gets instantly. Which is why men are more likely going to have the addiction.

It’s definitely possible for women to have pornography addictions. After all, why not? If men can have it, so can women! =D

yes. just like cigarettes and drugs it’s an equal opportunity addiction. fewer women though than men, because women tend to be participants and men voyeurs.

I’m sure that there are women with that condition.
They’re just not as blatently obvious as guys are.

Yes, it is just more common with men.
Did you know men can have breast cancer, too?

Interesting. I don’t like to say the word porn either. For some reason “pornography” just sounds less slime bally. BTW, I’m not following you. I’m following RedneckBarn. We can all be friends though. Should we form a tribe?

It is not only possible, but very common. You know what else you don’t hear about? Women commiting statutory (sp?) rape. Sure, you heard about Mary Kay Letourneau, but this stuff happens like all the time. She was the only super-publicized case, and true, women don’t make up a large portion of sex offenders, but they do exist.
Maybe this is why you don’t hear about women addicted to porn, it happens, but it’s just not as prevalent as men.

    Yes, it is possible.
Why isn’t it so obvious like what happens to men ? because there is lack of resources for women. Generally, the porn market share out there is for men, porn magazine and the net are full of naked women, and less of men bodies. This will make it easier for men to get addicted compared to women. In simple words, addicted women will find it a bit harder (compared to men) to satisfy their needs,.. hence it would be easier for them to let it go.

Why Not? Women are second class citizens or void of all sexual desires or something? Oh be real please!

Of course…I won’t lie. I had an addiction to porn from the age of 14-17. Not to get aroused but, because I really found it funny to watch. Nothing to hardcore though. Only that weak Max/Showtime after 12 stuff.
…I swear if you tell anyone! (just joking hun)

I tried to reply to this question and my reply included the word, starting with the letter “m,” for self-stimulation. It was a good, thoughtful, reply, I thought. But Yahoo bleeped out that word with asterisks. Is this a “dirty” word? Clearly not. Is Yahoo Answers a ridiculously ******* stupid forum? Clearly.

I would have to say yes. I am addicted to yahoo answers so why couldn’t other women get addicted to porn. They probably don’t know about answers and think porn is the best thing to pass their time.

I don’t believe so. Probably, because it’s so much easier for women to get “some” that they never have to resort to porn.

LOL I’ll forget I read underneath the original question!!!
Sweet!!! ah, I’d have to say yes, but I’m sure most people don’t hear about it cause most men are open about the subject. But women might feel , ummm, how do I say it, Dirty In a nice way. Not saying their dirty but they might be ashamed by this and feel that way.

A guy at work says he watches porn with his girlfriend. He says she loves it!!! I just had to tell you!!

I have heard of this. Some women, who have been around some frothy dudes, equate sex with love, because men love sex. Men still love women, even without the sex. They seek respect and attention. Somebody is the lucky recipient, unless she is a cheater.

Yeppers. My ex-girlfriend when she was married (B4 she met me) said she used to be addicted to porn saying she was basically a bored housewife and didn’t have much else to do.
So I guess women do crave sex just like men do, society just tells them that its not “lady like.”

Definately and the only think that stops women being as addited to porn as men, is their addition to SHOPPING and GOSSIP!
