I have a brother who happens to be addicted to alcohol. I hate seeing him ruining his life. I haven’t talked to him about this, so I don’t really know what got him to start drinking in the first place. I want so much to help. We’re not that close, but he’s still my brother, and I’m really worried about him. Should I do an intervention?

I think you should definitely do an intervention. You said so yourself that you and your brother aren’t close, so maybe it might be best to do the intervention with someone that he has close ties with. Maybe your parents, or his girlfriend, if he has one. However, keep in mind that intervention isn’t all that he needs. He would need treatment, or even rehabilitation and medication. It would be best to talk to him about this and then consult a doctor for further help.
