what rot..suboxone dosent take away the desire to use-it simply stops the sickness and cravings, without giving the long term user any euphoria…So you saying wanting to feel good is a sickness?People for all time has sought to intoxicate themselves,I guess everyones sick hey Doc??sure I can appreciate that subbies help you function without injections etc..However the negative effects of ALL drugs are Placed upon the user by a dis-honest society and Draconian laws…

Hmmm…… I believe the exact opposite. Most of the people who come in to my office don’t see it as a disease– they see themselves as miserable failures. THAT didn’t do a whole lot for them. I also see that the people who constantly feel ashamed of their addiction are the ones who keep going back– the ones who realize they have an illness can dump the shame and move forward. How exactly do you WANT people to think about their addiction? You don’t think they already feel bad enough?

Bottom line is that it is a choice. Duh. The only disease that can be cured by stopping a behavior.

Oh yeah, its just THAT simple!Go tell an obese person to stop eating and being fat and see how well that works out for you!Suboxone has saved my life when I was near death,so don’t be so quick to judge people unless you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.I wouldn’t wish my addiction on my worst enemy. And the fact that you say “can be cured”in your post just goes to show how little you know.THERE IS NO CURE FOR ADDICTION,ONLY TREATMENT!GET EDUCATED BEFORE YOU MAKE AN OPINION!THANKS!

That is a shame. You are not ’scum’– you have an illness! You have been punished enough; cut yourself some slack and get yourself some help.Good luck!
