I am specifically looking for cases in Michigan or another “no-fault” state that involve substance abuse and narcotics addiction.
I am particularly interested in cases involving children where one parent is a drug addict. I’m particularly interested in specific cases that show how assets were split and determination on parenting time.

I’ve had an addiction 2painkillers 4 almost 2years now &have exhausted myself with the destruction I have continued 2put myself thru. My daily routine consists of taking anywhere from 15-30pills, consuming up2 even 8pills at once at times. Without the pills (vicodin * percocet) i do suffer extreme withdrawal which has prevented me from stopping cold turkey. &the pills have become so habit forming that even winging myself off of them, considering the large amount i use, is near impossible, because i almost always resort back 2where i was b4. I desperately want 2be in recovery but ultimately it just seems unreachable. Being that sick, without proper treatment 2detox is hard. My biggest problem is that in my area there are no programs available 2some1 of my condition without insurance. There is not a treatment facility within my reach which can help me gain control of my life & it has truly left me feeling helpless. I never envisoned myself living this way. All advice is valued
My wife is in therapy for a sleeping pill addiction and I am not happy with the progress that they are making in therapy. I wont to be able to talk intelligently with her about my concerns and possibly have some other option that would be more productive. My wife has not been evaluated with any test I am concerned that the therapist may not know how sever the addiction may be. She is a function addict with a job and every thing that everybody elts dose. It seams that the therapist is giving her unconditional positive regard and my wife seem to be feeding in to it with the theory that things are going grate in realty she had a small relapse just one month ago. I have read a little about Roger theory off and think that this might be the case here. I would like to request a Michigan drug dependency test. What is you though and advise I do not wont to change therapist because we have already done that once. Do you know of any websites that I might be able to read up on addiction therapy? The therapist now won’t to work on our marriage and I think that is totally the wrong direction because I think the addiction is what should be concentrated on. Please any advice would be great and if you have canceling experiences please let me know!!

Government money for treatment is harder to come by. The Bush administration’s $12.7 billon drug-control budget request for 2007 earmarks 65% for interdiction and law enforcement and barely 35% for treatment and prevention. A National Center for Addiction and Substance Abuse report found that, of the $277 that each American paid on average in state taxes to deal with substance abuse and addiction in 1998, only $10 went toward treatment and prevention.
