I have an uncle who is going to undergo rehabilitation to get himself treated for his drug addiction. The thing is, his family isn’t being supportive. Instead of being happy that he’s finally turning his life around, they’re complaining about the rehab fees. I was just wondering if it would be really better for him if his family is there to encourage and support him.

Can someone get hooked to Tylenol PM and become an addict and depend on them to help them fall asleep? because I take them every night and end up sleeping until late in the afternoon.

I have realized that I definitely have a problem with sex. A sex addiction. Starting today, I’m going celibate. I need to take the right steps to prevent a relapse & get my mind straight emotionally. I am dating someone & I want them to like me for ME, not for sex. I have talked with him about the situation & he’s willing to help me out.

I’m seeking advice regarding conquering inhalant addiction, and how to help someone who’s currently suffering from it. I’ve recommended going to the family doctor, there are concerns about privacy, insurance, etc. I’ve attempted to help by removing the tempting objects from my household–the nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, any paint pens, glue, or paint, but it seems to just keep creeping back into the house. I want to help this person, but like with any addiction, the person is going to have to want to get better before they can, but there has to be something I can do to help. Are there such things as confidential treatment centers for this sort of problem?

I believe that my sis has become an addict. She uses it everyday…up to 5 times a day. Her whole life seem to now be about it. She is lying to everyone and tell everyone different stories. She feels that everyone is out to get her…and her money. She was going for her Master’s and quit going back because she was going through an emotional break up and then started using again. What can I do to help? and where can I get help for her? All she needed was one year for her Master’s and she always wanted her PH.d, but she does not remember that now.

Like the term for someone who is addicted to alcohol is an alcoholic. So what is the term for someone who is addicted to cuddling?

I read that schizophrenia is very difficult to diagnose and sometimes done when no other alternative condition can be diagnosed. What things in particular during a session would be signs to look for when a therapist thinks a patient might have schizophrenia, since during the session the patient’s not going to say they are hearing things which I also read is the number one indicator and in some cases the person never hears voices anyways. I liked to play that game before and got rid of it cuz it tooks too much place in my life. Now im thinking of getting it back but i dont want to become addicted, any suggestions?

Lately I think I have each possible problem – problems at home, at school, with myself. So I want to talk to someone about it. Maybe even an online psychologist if there is something like that. Or just someone who wants to talk to me, someone who wants to become a psychologist.. or whatever. I really need to talk to someone because I am going crazy… so please write me.
English isn’t my native language (probably you already realized that) but I am really trying to be good at it.

I want to ask around because I want to know whether any will be willing to take in my friend’s son, who happens to have dual diagnosis. I do know that not all addiction treatment centers are adept at handling cases like his, so I really want to make sure before I give my friend some suggestions.

I’ve never gotten why so many people like hurting or killing animals just for laughs. I get hunting and understand population control but to kill just get your rocks off is just something that I can’t understand. So I’m curious what drives someone to abuse or kill an animal for fun?

I read that if a patient tells their therapist that they are thinking of suicide, the therapist would have to admit them to an institution. So if someone doesn’t want to be admitted they are not going to tell their therapist of their thoughts. So how are they supposed to get help?
