I am specifically looking for cases in Michigan or another “no-fault” state that involve substance abuse and narcotics addiction.
I am particularly interested in cases involving children where one parent is a drug addict. I’m particularly interested in specific cases that show how assets were split and determination on parenting time.

My father is an alcoholic…plane and simple. I have done EVERYTHING since I was 7 years old to try to get him to stop drinking. NOTHING WORKS. I’m just so sick of it that I don’t know what to do because its ruining my life. I dream about this just about every night and most night I dream that I’m fighting him. Does anyone have any ideas.

i looove me some scratchers, and my habit is beginning to get out of control. i was on $5 tickets, then $10, now i only want to buy $20 ones. i wish to stop, but it’s extremely difficult as everywhere you go sells them.

I am curious to the opinions of others. Do you think that someone can recover from a compulsive gambling problem by reading online materials and other resources, or do you think it is necessary for that person to attend Gamblers Anonymous Meetings or other recovery meetings of some kind?

My sister is addicted to drugs and I have tried almost everything to help her but I am continuing to fail her. I haven’t tried the tough love approach because I am afraid that she will not want to have anything to do with me anymore and will not allow me to see my 4 year old nephew who I adore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For example, if they could get away with it, what if they were to become addicted to killing people? Men, women, in any type of way, shooting them, stabbing them, choking them, just whatever they could get away with it if they could. Some people did (I just watched some show) so I’m wondering WHY they would become addicted to killing people or how could they become addicted? Are they mental? What type of mental illness? I mean if this person seems like your average everyday person, not some obvious psycho. I hope this isn’t confusing. Thanks!
I just started talking to this guy and i know he used to do drugs and alcohol in the past. But he’s been clean now for a couple of years. I just don’t know what to say.. if anything about this issue. He has never brought it up with me (i found out from a friend). Idk if it’s wrong for me to talk about drinking to him. Should i just not talk about anything drug related? What would you do?
