I need to know what type of training or degrees I need to become a developmental therapist in IL.?

i want to talk to somebody, but im not quite sure who to go to. i think that therapy would be a great thing. but i really don’t want to ask my parents if i can start having therapy, because then they would think that there is something wrong with me. i really don’t think anything is wrong, but i feel like therapy would really help me. So basically i need a free, online therapist. does anybody know where to find one?

Do you have any take home work (like paperwork or planning) and how do you think it compares to being a physical therapist in terms of responsibility?

What kind of college would I need?
How long would it take?
Would it be a stable job?
What about salary?

Can anyone recommend a good therapist (preferably male) in the Millville, NJ area for someone with a pretty severe substance abuse problem? The person wants to recover and is serious about it but desperately needs some good counseling and support to work out some personal issues. Person cannot drive so it should be close to Millville or surrounding towns. They are in rehab currently but will need the counseling support when the rehab is finished, which is coming up soon. I’m worried that people will get the wrong idea. I’m planning on going to massage school to become a certified massage therapist in several styles. I would love for this to work. I want to help people feel better and I would get a personal satisfaction in doing so. I’m having trouble figuring out what to do with my life and this seems like a nice idea. Just wondering if I could pull it off and make a decent living off of it.

I have seen a couple therapists over the years but I am stuck to know how to start a good conversation with a new therapist any ideas?

I am currently a physical therapist assistant and would like to know what schools may offer a program to advance to a physical therapist. I have my associates degree in liberal arts for my physical therapy assistant profession, and also have a bachelors degree in human sciences from my earlier years in college (1986 graduate)

How do I determine a massage therapist’s legitimacy? I have achilles tendinitis and a groin pull. I have want to run again and massage therapy might heal my injuries. I want both parts of my two legs massaged and I do not wanted to be ripped off.

My wife is refusing to see her therapist because she feels that nothing is improving, yet she refuses to make an effort on her behalf to improve herself. She disregards tips made by the therapist and expects her problems to magically disappear. I don’t know how to put this into words that will not sound accusatory or degrading. I’m losing patience, it’s been 13 years now.

I have no idea what i want to do when i graduate from high school. My parents think i would be a good physical therapist. But i don’t know what collages specialize in physcial therapy.
