It has been four years since I last used heroin. I never went through rehab, or to NA or any other programs. I kicked the habit on my own, and have ever once considered going back to it. Recently, I’ve started feeling depressed, sleeping a lot, and having panic attacks like I did in the first few months of being clean. But now I’m starting to feel the same way again. I have heard there are lasting effects to addiction, I’m just wondering if this recent bout with depression could be related to that?

I have a 16 month old boy who starts therapy for eating next week. He can only eat stage 3 baby food and food mashed into that consistency, along with Gerber puffs and small pieces of american cheese. Basically nothing he has to manipulate in his mouth much at all. Anything else, he usually gags and throws up. What should I expect during therapy and if you have had similar feeding issues with your child, did therapy through this kind of program help them overcome it?

What should I do- my boyfriend used to have a gay porn addiction?

My boyfriend of 3 years (I’m a girl) told me today that he used to look at pictures of naked men online since middle school up to four months ago. We’re 20 now. He says he feels VERY very guilty, he doesn’t miss it, he’s not gay, and he loves me and wants to be with me for a long time. We are both virgins waiting until marriage and now I’m afraid because I don’t know how to know whether he’s physically attracted to me or not (we do make out often). Is this normal for curious adolescent boys, an addiction, or is he gay? He’s never been a very macho guy, and he has mostly girl friends (many of whom he used to like in the past, but he still tends to befriend mostly girls).

I am a microbiology student and do not understand why this new technology is being used only to cure Parkinson’s or type one diabetes. What are the limitations? My doctor just prescribed Naltrexone for me in attempt to treat my sexual addiction problem. Does anyone know about how successful this medication works for the treatment of sexual addictions? The drug is really used for Alcohol abuse treatment and people addicted to Heroion.
I checked the net but could not find anything that mentioned specifically of its use to treat sexual addictions.

I’m 16 years old and just recently started going to a psychologist as my mother (a gastroenterologist) deemed it necessary after i finally spoke to her and my dad about the horrible anxiety i was experiencing. Firstly he suggested Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, but that didn’t really work for me. Now we’re trying Acceptance and Commitment therapy and i was just wondering, for all those others with anxiety out there, have any of you tried this method? How has it helped? Or what else have you done to help you to cut back your anxiety symptoms? Thanx in advance.

Let’s say, for example, that I’m used to drink coffee everyday in the morning. Now, I wake up one day and find out that I don’t have coffee anymore. I feel anxious, annoyed, irritable and entirely out of my element. Doesn’t that mean that I’m addicted to coffee? if so, what’s the difference between being addicted to something and being used to something. Is that just a matter of degree?
